A photographic poster uses photographs as the main visual element, while an illustrated poster uses drawings, paintings, or other types of illustrations to convey its message.

2a. What is Double Exposure?

Double exposure is a photography technique that combines two or more images into a single frame, creating a surreal and artistic effect.

2b. What is Digital Double Exposure?

Digital double exposure is a graphic design technique that uses layering and blending modes to combine two or more digital images into a single composition.

This week, we dive into the world of double exposure, below are some working progress that we practiced and experienced during the tutorial:













The Final Production of the tutorial:



For the exercise, I found some images online to produce the double exposure self image, below are the steps for the double exposure work:

Step 1: I adjust the saturation of the image into low saturated picture and then enlarge the head part for later use.

Step 2: Insert the selected forest image and turn it into the mask, create clipping mask to produce a double exposure effect.

Step 3: Add the background colour layer, and use colour picker to choose the forest background colour to make it looks more seamless, then add in some birds image.

Step 4: Add some cloud image and adjust the gradient map to create a different colour mood outcome.
